About Us

The Teen Challenge ministry began in the Dallas area in 1963. It was at that time that David Wilkerson held a rally in the area. From that gathering, a group of enthusiastic individuals began to form what is today Teen Challenge of Dallas serving North Texas as well as other areas.

The ministry began holding street corner services and soon opened a rented house for wayward boys needing a life changing experience with Jesus Christ. The name Teen Challenge was a perfect fit.

In 1982, Paul and Linda Ecker became the Executive Directors of Teen Challenge of Dallas. What began as a program for boys in trouble has now ministered to a multitude of individuals of all ages with incredible success. Today this ministry has multiple locations throughout North Texas and focuses on helping change individuals that have all kinds of life controlling issues.

We are a non-profit 501©(3) corporation within the State of Texas.
