At the age of 10, Josh accepted Christ at a kids camp in New Mexico and was called into ministry. Later on Josh, the son of a pastor, saw all the stress his family endured in ministry and gradually became bitter towards the ministry. 

At the age of 15, his bitterness led him into a vicious cycle of drug and alcohol addiction. His addiction clouded his judgement and eventually he introduced his younger brother Ryan to drugs. One night while their parents were on vacation, having lost all hope, Ryan took a revolver and took his own life.  

After the death of his brother Josh followed a path of greater addiction. Soon his life was out of control.

When we met him, he was struggling to forgive himself and his brother Ryan. While in the program God has renewed his calling to ministry, and he is working as a children's pastor in Ennis, Texas.  God has turned his tragedy into a triumph!
